How Accurate is Vasc‑Alert as an Indicator for Significant Stenosis? A number of studies have been published and presented at meetings on the efficacy of Vasc‑Alert as a tool for access site surveillance. These studies are summarized in the following table:
In addition, Vascular Access Surveillance Reduces Vascular Access Thrombosis Rates (VATR), a poster presented by Zasuwa, Frinak, Besarab and Yee at the 2005 ASN Meetings, showed a persistent and significant decline in thrombosis rates (p< 0.05) following the introduction of Vasc-Alert.
